Newlywed or Close

Welcome to the Newlywed or Close 10:45 life bible study class!  We are so glad you stopped by our podcast site.  While we encourage all members to attend class and build community as  couples, we do understand that schedules, jobs, and travel prevent that at times.  We hope you can use the podcast of the week's lesson to help catch you up on a class you missed or to just listen to the message for a second time!  Additionally, for those who are note-takers or who like an outline to help keep them focused, you can find the completed handout for the week's lesson on our "Newlywed or Close 10:45" facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/groups/NWC1045/.   Please be encouraged in knowing that the leadership team of this class if praying for you all.  May God bless you and your relationship at you seek Him first and put Him in the center!

About the Class:  The NWC 10:45 class is a life bible study at Houston's First Baptist Church that meets every Sunday on the 5th floor in room 504.   Our class purpose is simply this:   to help equip you as a soon-to-be or newly married couple with the Biblically-based tools required for a marriage to survive and thrive in a world that has stopped putting the value of marriage in its proper place. It is designed to be one year in length with a curriculum that utilizes the practical application of God’s Word for first year marriage issues that all couples face.   Some of the topics addressed will include:  expectations, finances, communication, intimacy, family issues, conflict resolution, the roles of a man and a woman, and more!

In addition to imparting Godly, biblical truths into your marriage, the NWC Class is a great place to build lasting friendships with other couples.  We do this through establishing COR groups, small group Bible studies, participating in mission activities, and having various social activities outside of class.  These are only a sampling of the ways to get plugged into this very dynamic class.  If you  or anyone you know  may be interested in this class and is engaged or has been married for 1 year or less, please invite them to come along!
